WELCOME - OUR FIRST RENO!
It was beginning to seem a little dreary in the housing scene. 6 months of searching, several failed contracts and countless open homes were beginning to take their toll especially after the initial buzz wore off! However it’s funny isn’t it, as soon as you find the house you love… so do multiple other people at exactly the same time - luckily for us we snatched this gem!
Our offer was confirmed the same day as our viewing – scary! It was 100% meant to be and over the last year has been our exciting first renovation project!
We once read in an article that when looking for a home to renovate it pays to find something in an ideal location, that will enhance in value after a reasonable amount of work has been done (but doesn’t have huge structural damage) and one that you instantly have a vision for. After keeping these in mind, we saw beyond the ridiculous amount of multi-coloured wallpaper, jungle like garden, lack of curtains and exterior weatherboard damage because to us, this home was perfect! The outside and inside had incredible bones, such a fab canvas with huge potential.
So here they are, the photos showing you the original canvas and what we started with! The visions we had/have for this home are immensely exciting and dramatic, we can’t wait to share our journey of turning it into a gorgeous home that shows off our personality through style and flare, while doing everything we can ourselves!
